Yep. You read that right. Years ago, I turned down $2.2 million. And the average person would think… “Why on Earth would Joel Brown make such a foolish decision like that?” But by the end of this email, you’ll know why this is actually one of the BEST decisions I've EVER MADE in my life. And you'll also know what it means to have a healthy relationship with your money.  See, two years after the birth of Addicted2Success… I was offered $1 million and another $1.2 million by two different companies who wanted to buy my A2S brand. At the time, I had never seen so many zeroes before. So the thought of being a millionaire overnight was so exciting to me. But it wasn’t that simple. If I had accepted the deal, I would’ve been forced to sign a contract where I was not allowed to compete with the A2S brand. In other words, I was not allowed to create content for the personal development space anymore. My heart sank as I read the contract. I had a flaming passion to inspire millions of people around the world.  And I wanted to grow A2S to the point where I could reach millions of people, speaking on grand stages around the world. And when I looked at all those zeros, it was very tempting for me to accept the deal. But after a chaotic tug-o-war inside my mind… I rejected both the $1.1 and $1.2 million deal. And looking back right now, that was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Over the years, the Addicted2Success brand was a doorway for me to speak alongside legendary heroes of mine like Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield, Les Brown, Bob Proctor, and many more. It became the #1 motivational brand in the world with over 320 million views. I can’t imagine where I would be today if I had sold A2S. I could’ve easily acted out of desperation, only thinking about all the zeroes that were in front of me. But I didn’t allow my desperation to make the decision for me. And I ended up making way more money over the years from A2S itself than I was offered.  See, your relationship with money is like dating. If someone was desperately chasing you, you’d want to run away from them, right? Why is that? Because that person is coming from a place of fear. A fear that they’re going to lose you. It’s the same thing with money. I hear people say “I need this client” or “I need more money”. But when you're in a desperate state, you'll make decisions out of DESPERATION! So the first thing we need to do is cultivate a better relationship with money. How? Well, the first step that I always walk my clients through is I ask them two questions. 1) “How do you feel around money?” And if the feeling is negative, then I ask them... 2) “Do you remember a time when you first felt that feeling around money?” Because relationships can only change once you know how you feel around them. This is true with human relationships as well as your relationship with money. Part of being a wealthy online coach is having a healthy relationship with money. You’re able to charge thousands for your offers. You’re able to set boundaries so your clients don’t take advantage of you. And you feel good with every business decision that you make. [So how do you feel around money?](mailto:info@addicted2success.com) Tomorrow, I’ll be sharing a story about a man known as the ‘Zen Millionaire’. This story will show you what it really takes to feel fulfilled around money.  HINT: it has nothing to do with the number on your bank account. HINT: it has nothing to do with owning a private jet. I’m excited to share it with you tomorrow. Until then, God Bless you and your money! . . Joel "No desperation around money" Brown Founder ELEVATE YOUR MIND. AMPLIFY YOUR INFLUENCE.
