3 Ways To Grow A Lucrative Email List Without Being An Expert. What's going on {NAME}. Welcome back to Friday Fire where I share one actionable tip, tactic, or strategy to help you build your one-person online bizness. If you’ve seen my emails since Monday… You’ll know I’m hosting a live training next week on building your email list. One of the questions I keep getting is: "Can I build an email list if I’m not the #1 expert or authority?" The short answer is yes. Today I’ll talk about 3 ways you can build a lucrative email list even if you’re not an expert. Let’s roll. 1. The Hobbyist. The Hobbyist is exactly what it sounds like. Someone with a hobby who builds an email list around it. And this could be ANYTHING. As long as there are other people who have the same hobby. I’ll give ya a weird example… My mom is into gardening. One of her plants is a Succulent. I just did a search on FB and found groups with hundreds of thousands of members. Check it out: Some of these groups have email lists and online stores all about buying, growing, and caring for their Succulents. Weird hobby huh? Look at your hobbies and think about how you can potentially build an email list around it. 2. The Reporter. The Reporter is someone who goes into a specific niche and reports on their findings. Market news, trends, highlights, interesting facts, controversy, etc. One of the best examples of this is a company called Morning Brew. It’s a daily business email newsletter that was recently sold for $75M cash. The founders started it when they were in college as a fun way to summarize important business stories. So they weren’t experts. Just reporting on industry news in an entertaining way. The funny thing is by not trying to be the expert, they actually attracted the real experts who were featured and sponsored the newsletter. $75M in cash? Not too shabby for a Reporter. 3. The Experimenter. The Experimenter is someone who does experiments and shares their results. If you go on YouTube doing this with videos titled "I tried/did X and THIS happened!" Here are some in my feed: "I tried using A.I. and it terrified me…" "I journaled every day and THIS happened." "I bought a failed business and turned it around…" "I tried buying the cheapest house in California…" "I walked 100,000 steps a day. Here’s what happened…" "I tried Andrew Tate’s Hustler’s University and THIS happened." You could start an email list within a niche, run experiments, and report on your results. This way you’re not positioning yourself as the top dawg. Just someone who’s trying stuff out and sharing what happened. A good example of this is a YouTuber named Biaheza. He’s a young kid that built a huge following by being an Experimenter in the "make money" niche. And his entire channel are just videos of his business experiments.
