When life throws events your way... [image] From the Founder Hi {NAME}! It feels a bit weird to be talking about business as usual when there are constant environmental events disrupting life. From forest fires, floods, droughts... All impacting us, whether we live in the exact location where they're happening or not. Because we can see the patterns, we know that the trends aren't headed in a good direction. And because as humans, we feel pain at the loss of life on the planet. I don't have any magical solutions in the face of the devastation we keep facing... But I know that focusing on what we can do locally, with our neighbors to help us feel connected to where we live is a good start. To celebrate life around us, while it's here and maybe make a small shift toward staving off the bigger environmental impacts. We can also give to organizations on the ground, helping with current disasters. We're resourceful, we just need to put our resources toward the right goals. Ideally, prevention of climate degradation, while helping those most affected by the current effects of the climate crisis. -Nathalie [image] Momentum Tip #10 Our culture glamorizes "the grind" and working yourself to the bone… So it might seem like you need to work non-stop to get momentum in your business. We hear about working 12-hour days, and posting on social media across all platforms daily... It's enough to lead to burnout. And burnout is one sure way to stop momentum in its tracks. So what is a better approach than the balls-to-the-wall work schedule we're all assuming is necessary? Seasons. Embracing the busier seasons of work and giving yourself time to rest in between the busier times. When you look at deciduous trees, they lose their leaves before winter and go dormant. That rest period is necessary for the big growth they experience in the spring and summer. Your business seasons may not align with the seasons of a tree, but recognizing that you can't be in a big pushing growth season all the time is the first step. Rest, regroup, and watch what blooms.
