[image] From the Founder Hi {NAME}! I have a confession to make... Things haven't been "working" for this newsletter since we switched up the format. You see, I've been doing the email thing non-stop week-after-week for 14 years. That’s a looooong time. I've experimented with sending emails twice per week and even daily for a few weeks at a time. Often these emails were short missives or linked to just one piece of content. I thought that moving to a newsletter format with more content would be better. But the focus tilted more toward "packing each issue" with all of the amazing things AccessAlly can do, and all the content we want you to check out. Talk about overwhelm. So I'm taking an experimental approach and retooling this newsletter. You'll still get a little founder's message, but instead of an AccessAlly-focused tip, you'll get a momentum building tip from yours truly or someone I admire. And we're also cutting down on all the links! Let me know what you think of the change, just hit reply. :) [image] Momentum Tip #1 There are 3 main places where we lose momentum. 1. At the start: we can't gain momentum if we haven't started. If starting is hard for you, think about what's stopping you. Chances are there's some kind of "pre-work" you need to do to clear the way for you to be ready to start. Then only focus on the smallest first step, and the next one should be easier. 2. In the middle: momentum can come from a strong start, but if you have a hard time keeping things going... you might lose that momentum. When I feel my energy or enthusiasm flagging, it helps to remember who I'm trying to help or serve with my art, work, or offering. This takes me out of my head and stops my perfectionism from killing my momentum. 3. At the finish line: If starting is hard for some, finishing is hard for others. How do you know when you're done? What if it's not good enough? Newsflash: there's no such thing as perfect, and things are done when they are good enough to help the people you thought about in part 2. You might have high standards, and that's awesome. But at the same time, not everything needs to be an A+ effort. Some projects can be done with B- energy and still get the results you're after. So go ahead. Get started, keep going, and pass the finish line. You'll be glad you did! Here's what she had to say about her experience: "AccessAlly gives us the opportunity to wow our clients. I started out building regular websites and now I primarily do AccessAlly projects. We build memberships and courses and the one thing I tell everybody is we use AccessAlly. Sometimes they’re like: well what if I wanna use this other tool? And I say, then I can recommend you to somebody else because I don’t build on that. AccessAlly is the bread and butter of my business now. It feels like one big happy family." Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
