: This last weekend I sat down and drafted a somewhat unusual 16-page essay-based treatise on the subject line topic above. It’s probably more sophisticated, deep – even esoteric than the majority of communiques I typically share. It’s NOT the kind of thesis or discourse you are used to receiving from me. It’s quite a sobering commentary about what (for lack of a better word) I’d call your business worldview. It delves painfully deep into “cause-and-effect” syndrome. It explains and explores the true meaning of business life – TODAY in our profoundly transformed business world. It examines sobering facts and factors few (if any) entrepreneurs seem to recognize, let alone reconcile themselves to – today. In case you think THIS is some theatrical gambit on my part to stoke curiosity on yours – IT ACTUALLY IS NOT. I was severely troubled this weekend thinking about the plight and problems of the beleaguered entrepreneurs I’ve been meeting around the world lately. I sat down to share sobering perspectives and a rather unexpected set of strongly supported advice and admonishment. It sells nothing. Except, at the very end – I believe it’s all of three out of something like 123 paragraphs in the entire composition – speaking ONLY to companies above $10M. I wasn’t planning on sharing this with everyone. But after I asked numerous colleagues I trusted – and my wife, they each urged me to put it out there – for whatever benefit it might hold for you. One final point. It’s important. I’ve noticed that when I’m in a deep philosophical-ideological mindset mode, my writing can be exceedingly deep and no-nonsense serious. I’m just trying to prepare you for what you’ll experience – so you’re not stunned. [Here’s my “Disquisition” REALITY CHECKS](.
