We have a 5-point plan to help. Congress is scheduled to leave for August recess in a matter of days

We have a 5-point plan to help. [AARP Real Possibilities] [AARP Real Possibilities] July 2020 [We have a 5-point plan to help.]( Congress is scheduled to leave for August recess in a matter of days: our federal representatives leave on Friday, and our senators a week after. They could very well leave without coming up with a plan to protect vulnerable nursing home residents. That’s unacceptable. More than 59,000 nursing home residents and staff have died from COVID-19 since the pandemic started in March. It’s time to stop this national disgrace. AARP advocates have sent over 620,000 letters demanding protection for nursing home residents and staff. But we’re still waiting for Congress to act. {NAME}, please send a letter to your Connecticut members of Congress TODAY. AARP advocates are demanding that Congress enact our five-point plan before they go back home for August recess. Can you put pressure on your lawmakers?
