Congress is siding with Big PhRMA. Fight back! [View in browser]( [AARP Real Possibilities] ADVOCACY ALERT [bullhorn] ALERT: Congress may try to re-open the donut hole deal and raise the cost of seniors' medicine! [Fight back now: Send your letter to Rep. DeLauro and tell them not to raise seniors' drug costs!]( Dear {NAME}, Big PhRMA has spent millions to send lobbyists to Capitol Hill, and gotten more than 200 members of Congress to sign a letter to re-open the Medicare “donut hole” which would raise prescription drug costs for seniors. We need to [speak out right now, and demand that our representatives in Washington represent us, and not the big drug companies. Add your voice >>]( Big PhRMA and their allies are looking for any opportunity to sneak this change into law- and if we don't speak out forcefully, they'll succeed. We CAN stop Congress from giving into the big drug companies, and making health care even more expensive. But we all need to take action before it's too late. [Rush your letter to Rep. DeLauro right now, and tell them to oppose ANY deal to raise seniors' prescription drug costs!]( The truth is, Big PhRMA is raking in billions in profits, while everyday Americans like us are left paying the highest prescription drug costs in the world. It's outrageous that they want to raise costs even higher, by breaking the deal to lower seniors' drug costs who are struggling with their health. The numbers are on our side, {NAME} – more than three-quarters of Americans agree that Congress should stand up to the big drug companies, and keep the donut hole closed. But we have to speak out now, before it's too late: [Tell Rep. DeLauro that you're counting on them to stand up to the big drug companies, and not to raise seniors' drug costs.]( Thanks for speaking out today on this important issue. I'll be in touch soon with more updates from Capitol Hill.
