We’ve scored wins in Kentucky and Florida recently. Let’s add Alabama, New Hampshire, and Michigan to that list!  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ 314 Action Fund is the only national organization working to train, recruit, support, and elect Democrats with STEM and medical backgrounds to office at all levels of government. Jennifer Mandelbaum (New Hampshire – HD Portsmouth Ward 1 & Newington) Jennifer is a pro-choice public health expert who will be on the ballot NEXT WEEK alongside Erik Johnson (featured below). If they win Democrats will net TWO seats and be on track to flip the New Hampshire State House this year. Jennifer has ample experience advising the state government on matters of public health, nutrition, and making healthcare both more accessible and affordable. She recently made headlines when she slammed a GOP proposal to implement a 15-day abortion ban. Lands (Alabama – HD-10) Marilyn is a licensed counselor with a background in the aerospace industry. This is the best red-to-blue flip opportunity in the nation currently as Marilyn will be on the ballot at the end of the month in a district Republicans barely held onto in 2022 and one Joe Biden carried in 2020. Marilyn has pledged to champion reproductive rights and public education if elected, both of which have been hammered away by Republicans at the state level. Xiong (Michigan – HD-13) Control of the Michigan State House is currently TIED, resulting in Democrats losing control of the chamber after flipping it blue in 2022 (which we were proud to be a part of!) after the incumbent (a science educator we helped elect!) won the race for Mayor of Warren. Mai is the first Asian-American and former refugee ever elected to the Macomb County Board of Commissioners and could give Democrats back our majority if she wins in early April. Johnson (New Hampshire – HD Strafford 11) Erik currently serves on the town of Lee’s Boards of Sustainability and Energy, experience that will be crucial as New Hampshire looks to navigate expanding renewable energy technology and combating the climate crisis. Like Jennifer, Erik will be on the ballot next week and has a pathway to victory over an extreme Republican thanks to supporters like you! Herzberg (Michigan – HD 25) Peter is a Westland City Councilman who has championed environmental and climate causes, including saving the city’s entire recycling program from being scrapped. 314 Action invested in this district earlier this year to make sure Democrats have the resources to win this race, regain the majority in April, and continue to build on one of the most productive legislative sessions in more than a decade. In fact, this year we plan on supporting more Democrats with backgrounds in science at the state level than EVER BEFORE in history. Thank you, 314 Action  314 Action is the only national organization working to elect Democrats with backgrounds in science and medicine at ALL levels of government – from the Senate down to local school boards. Since 2017, we’ve supported more than 500+ candidates and reached millions of swing voters on their behalf with our data-driven messaging campaigns. Our candidates led the charge to flip the House in 2018, the Senate in 2021, and a handful of state legislatures in 2022. Now, there are more scientists in office than at any point in U.S. history. No one is better equipped to craft policy to address pressing issues like gun violence, climate change, healthcare reform, or restoring reproductive rights than scientific professionals. Recent polling confirms that scientific and medical professionals have some of the highest approval ratings and levels of trust among voters – Meaning our candidates are better positioned to win tough races and can cut through the partisan divide! 100% of our work is powered by individual donations and our average donation is just $19. We plan on supporting more Democratic scientists and medical professionals in virtually every state this election cycle than at any point in our history. With you by our side, we’ll defend our Senate majority, retake the House, keep the White House blue, and elect a historic wave of Democrats to state legislatures and local office.
