Your donation will go DIRECTLY to candidates running in the most competitive races of the next two years. You are receiving this email from 314 Action Fund because you’ve previously expressed interest or taken part in our efforts. If you’d rather not get all of our updates you can [click here]( for only the most important emails. To unsubscribe instantly [you can click here.]( Friends – Last year, Republicans flipped control of the House by flipping five seats red – they only won those five races by a total of 6,670 votes. Our resounding victory in Wisconsin’s Supreme Court race proved that when we invest early, outraise, and outwork the competition, we WIN big! Every single one of these Senate and House races was decided by a handful of votes in recent years: Which is why we’re launching our FIRST Joint Fundraising Committee of the election cycle with Sen. Jacky Rosen (NV-SEN), Rep. Eric Sorensen (IL-17), Rep. Yadira Caraveo (CO-08), and George Whitesides (CA-27). When you make a donation to our Priority 2023 Impact Slate, your donation will be split evenly between each of those candidates and at a time when fundraising is at one of the lowest points of the entire election cycle. [Control of Congress will be decided by a handful of votes in a handful of races. That’s why we’re asking if you’ll donate as little as $4 to directly support our Democrats running in the 4 most competitive races of the election cycle. When thousands of you donate, it could very well decide the outcome of these races!]( [DONATE »]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [Jacky Rosen]( Jacky Rosen (Nevada) – Jacky Rosen was the first-ever Senate candidate our organization supported. She was the ONLY Democratic challenger to beat an incumbent Republican Senator in 2018 and became the FIRST ever computer programmer in the history of the Senate when she was sworn in. In the Senate, Jacky has been a champion for science, STEM education (especially for girls), the environment, and was a leader in the fight to drive down insulin and prescription drug costs. She was also crowned the Senate’s hardest worker by The Washington Post. Republicans won Nevada’s Governor race last year and almost ousted fellow Democratic Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto but fell short by just less than 0.9% of the vote. Senate control could once again be decided here in Nevada by the slimmest margins. --------------------------------------------------------------- [Erin Sorensen]( Sorensen (IL-17) – Most election experts predicted Eric Sorensen would lose last November, being a first-time candidate in a Trump-won district after being outspent by more than $2 million. Instead, he won by nearly 4 points, becoming the first meteorologist in Congress in 50 years and the first ever out LGBTQ official to represent Illinois in Congress! Republicans have already labeled defeating Eric, a Frontline Democrat, as a top priority of theirs. Donors like you helped us reach hundreds of thousands of voters in this race last year, support that was instrumental in winning this Leans Republican House race. --------------------------------------------------------------- [Dr. Yadira Caraveo](. Yadira Caraveo (CO-8) – Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight gave Yadira Caraveo a 91% chance of losing this newly created House district. In the week before the election, her race was rated as LIKELY Republican. We never gave up on Yadira, and invested nearly $400,000 to elect her as a first-time House candidate and career pediatrician. It worked – Yadira won one of the 5 most competitive House races in the country by just 1% – 1,700 votes. Yadira is now the first Latina to represent Colorado in Congress + is only the second pro-choice physician who is a woman in the entire Congress. In a race this close, small-dollar donations in the off-year will decide this race next November. --------------------------------------------------------------- [George Whitesides]( Whitesides (CA-27) – George Whitesides served as the Chief of Staff of NASA under President Barack Obama, became the first CEO of Virgin Galactic, and co-founded an organization dedicated to combating wildfires on the West Coast Now he’s running against the most vulnerable Republican in Congress, Mike Garcia, who won by just 333 votes (or 0.1% of the vote) in 2020. President Joe Biden won this district by double digits and Mike Garcia is one of the most out-of-touch, Far-Right Republicans in Congress. In a race that could be decided by 0.1% of the vote, your early support could make-or-break this race. [Donate directly to Jacky Rosen, Eric Sorensen, Yadira Caraveo, and George Whitesides. Control of Congress could once again come down to a couple thousand votes in a couple races. Be the reason the outcome favors our Democrats by donating today.]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be immediately processed and split between 314 Action Fund, Jacky Rosen, Eric Sorensen, Dr. Yadira Caraveo, and George Whitesides. To date, we've flipped five U.S. Senate seats from red to blue, including drafting both Mark Kelly and John Hickenlooper to run, helped Democrats flip the House in 2018 by electing eight Democrats in red to blue districts, and secured more than six dozen state legislative victories -- All with an average donation of $18. The best way we can build on the progress we've achieved and empower President Joe Biden's science-first agenda is to defend our razor-thin majorities in the House and Senate, which is why we're targeting 68 Senate, House, Gubernatorial and statewide races ahead of 2022. We're creating political consequences for the Republicans who disavow science, deny the reality of climate change, and spread conspiracy theories as a result.
