We cannot allow an out-of-control Supreme Court, working in conjunction with extremist elements of the Republican Party, to take away freedoms and our personal autonomy. It’s outrageous. It’s dangerous. So much more is at risk]( In a moment, we’re going to outline what Joe Biden’s order does: [But in the meantime, will you join us in thanking Joe Biden for signing the most sweeping executive order related to protecting reproductive health in modern U.S. history?/a>]( [THANK JOE BIDEN >>]( [Here’s what Joe Biden’s executive order does:]( One: It requires ALL hospitals to provide abortion care if the mother’s life is in jeopardy REGARDLESS of the several state laws Republicans have passed that do not include exceptions for when the mother’s life is in jeopardy. Two: It defends access to FDA-approved drugs used to induce abortion, which is critical, considering that 54% of all abortions in the U.S. are medication-induced abortions. Three: Not only does it take steps to protect the privacy information of women, their search histories, and phone applications but it authorizes legal and technical assistance to states and medical providers who provide abortion care to out-of-state patients. Four: It directs the Federal government and government agencies to protect access to contraception, including Plan B and IUDs, after GOP threats to target access to contraceptives next. This is an important step forward and we will continue to advocate and fight for the codification of Roe v. Wade into law as well as the reversal of dangerous restrictions and bans on abortion at the state level that preceded the Dobbs decision. [Join us in taking a moment to thank Joe Biden for signing the most sweeping executive order related to reproductive healthcare access →]( [THANK JOE BIDEN >>]( Thank you, 314 Action PAID FOR BY 314 ACTION FUND, 314ACTION.ORG, NOT AUTHORIZED BY ANY CANDIDATE OR ANY CANDIDATE'S COMMITTEE. To date, we've flipped five U.S. Senate seats from red to blue, including drafting both Mark Kelly and John Hickenlooper to run, helped Democrats flip the House in 2018 by electing eight Democrats in red to blue districts, and secured more than six dozen state legislative victories -- All with an average donation of $18. The best way we can build on the progress we've achieved and empower President Joe Biden's science-first agenda is to defend our razor-thin majorities in the House and Senate, which is why we're targeting 68 Senate, House, Gubernatorial and statewide races ahead of 2022. We're creating political consequences for the Republicans who disavow science, deny the reality of climate change, and spread conspiracy theories as a result.
