We know we send you a lot of messages – But we wanted to make sure we took a moment to thank you for all that you do as we start this new year. # You are receiving this email from 314 Action Fund because you’ve previously expressed interest or taken part in our efforts. We hope you were able to enjoy the holidays but also recognize that this time of year, particularly with the Omicron wave unfolding, can be difficult. Which is why we wanted to make sure we reached out and expressed our immense gratitude for all you’ve done: Each and every day, we have Democratic scientists, engineers, nurses, doctors, biologists, and STEM professionals from all walks of life reaching out to us. We’ve had nearly 10,000 reach out to us about running for office or supporting their candidacy, from the school board up to the U.S. Senate. --------------------------------------------------------------- Five years ago right after we were founded, we were only able to help a handful (and we worked our hearts out to get them elected and had some great successes for a newly founded organization!). But supporters like you saw a need for science, experts, and data-driven problem solvers in office. Especially with the election of Donald Trump and vehemently anti-science Republicans sweeping complete control of our government in 2016. Your generous support transformed us into a national organization that is now involved politically at all levels of government in virtually every state, from the rural stretches of Alaska to the rolling plains of Nebraska and the bustling streets of Los Angeles. --------------------------------------------------------------- So when a young Black nurse in Illinois says she wants to run for office, we can be there for her and help her make history. So when a pediatrician in Washington says she could use our help reaching voters in a district Democrats have never won, we can put in the resources needed to make a difference (and win). So when an astronaut and loving husband to a survivor of gun violence in Arizona decides to take his fight to make our country safer to the Senate, he can hit the ground running from Day One. Lauren Underwood, RN, Dr. Kim Schrier, and Mark Kelly are in office because of supporters like you. More scientists are in office than at any point in U.S. history because of YOUR generous support. --------------------------------------------------------------- Every day, we get messages from candidates who need our help. With an average donation of $18.33 and thanks to more than 340,000 individual donations, we’re able to answer those calls and say that YES, yes we can help. Together, we’re building a movement and we’re changing our country for the better. And we have you to thank: So thank you. Truly. [And if you’re able to, we’re matching all donations but only until midnight (up to $50,000). So if you’re interested in giving, you can click here.]( With the utmost gratitude, 314 Action Fund [DONATE]( Paid for by 314 Action Fund, 314action.org, not authorized by any candidate or any candidate's committee. [Privacy Policy]( [Click here to unsubscribe from 314 Action's Email List]( 314 Action is a grassroots community of over 6 million people working to elect Democratic scientists at all levels of government who will use science and facts to address some of our most pressing issues from climate change and gun violence to health care and protecting the environment. To date, we've flipped five U.S. Senate seats from red to blue, including drafting both Mark Kelly and John Hickenlooper to run, helped Democrats flip the House in 2018 by electing eight Democrats in red to blue districts, and secured more than six dozen state legislative victories -- All with an average donation of $18. The best way we can build on the progress we've achieved and empower President Joe Biden's science-first agenda is to defend our razor-thin majorities in the House and Senate, which is why we're targeting 68 Senate, House, Gubernatorial and statewide races ahead of 2022. We're creating political consequences for the Republicans who disavow science, deny the reality of climate change, and spread conspiracy theories as a result.
