The Pennsylvania and Arizona State Houses are virtually tied: If the three pro-choice women featured below win their incredibly competitive races we can secure Democratic majorities in both chambers in less than 5 months! ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ 314 Action Fund is the only national organization working to train, recruit, support, and elect Democrats with STEM and medical backgrounds to office at all levels of government. The Pennsylvania and Arizona State Houses are virtually tied: If the three pro-choice women featured below win their incredibly competitive races we can secure Democratic majorities in both chambers in less than 5 months! [Meet Brandy Reese, Stefanie Rafes, and Dr. Jasmine Clark: And then if you’re able to, donate as little as $3 (your donation will go directly to them!) so they can win these 3 highly competitive races!]( Reese (AZ HD-13) - Brandy Reese is an award-winning forensic scientist who spent 14 years identifying, collecting, and analyzing physical evidence from crime scenes before running for office. She has vowed to protect abortion access if elected and is running against a Republican who supported the no-exception 1864 abortion ban and tried to block Democratic efforts to repeal the ban. It’s hard to overstate how competitive and consequential this race is: Republicans carried this district by just 0.2% (and a margin of 300 votes). The Stakes: Democrats need to flip just two seats to FLIP the Arizona State House. Brandy’s race is being called the ‘tipping point’ – meaning Democrats are projected to win the chamber if she wins! Rafes (PA HD-187) - Stefanie is a physician's assistant with a focus in cardiology who has mentored dozens of students entering the medical field. If elected, she would be one of the only pro-choice women in healthcare serving in the Pennsylvania State Legislature. She’s running against one of the most extreme anti-abortion Republicans in the state: He describes himself as “staunchly pro-life,” championed the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and when asked about supporting a total abortion ban he said he would be a warrior ‘for the unborn.’ The Stakes: Democrats hold a one-seat majority in the State House. If Stefanie wins, Pennsylvania Democrats are guaranteed to hold the House! . Jasmine Clark (GA HD-108) – Jasmine has a PhD in microbiology and molecular genetics, is a professor at Emory University, was the Director of the historic March for Science in Atlanta, and flipped a safe Republican seat blue in 2018 by a margin of victory of just 300 votes. She is widely considered to be the most vulnerable Democrat in Georgia. In the state legislature, Jasmine has been a fierce opponent of GOP abortion restrictions and attacks on voting rights. In 2022, Jasmine barely defended this seat by a margin of less than 1,000 votes and Republicans have made unseating her a top priority of theirs. The Stakes: Democrats have won Georgia statewide four times in the past three years, yet remain critically underrepresented at the state level. If Democrats can match the levels of GOP spending at the state level and defend Jasmine, we can FLIP the State House. [Your support goes infinitely further at the state and local level: So can Brandy, Stefanie, and Jasmine count on you to rush a donation directly to their campaigns?]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be immediately processed and split between 314 Action, Brandy Reese, Stefanie Rafes, and Dr. Jasmine Clark. Since 2017, we’ve supported more than 500+ candidates and reached millions of swing voters on their behalf with our data-driven messaging campaigns. Our candidates led the charge to flip the House in 2018, the Senate in 2021, and a handful of state legislatures in 2022. Now, there are more scientists in office than at any point in U.S. history. No one is better equipped to craft policy to address pressing issues like gun violence, climate change, healthcare reform, or restoring reproductive rights than scientific professionals. Recent polling confirms that scientific and medical professionals have some of the highest approval ratings and levels of trust among voters – Meaning our candidates are better positioned to win tough races and can cut through the partisan divide! 100% of our work is powered by individual donations and our average donation is just $19. We plan on supporting more Democratic scientists and medical professionals in virtually every state this election cycle than at any point in our history. With you by our side, we’ll defend our Senate majority, retake the House, keep the White House blue, and elect a historic wave of Democrats to state legislatures and local office.
