BREAKING: Communications Minister issues NCC 9-day ultimatum to clear unregistered SIMs
The Minister of Communications, Ibrahim Pantami has told the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to ensure the registration of unregistered Sim cards in the country on or before September 25.
Pantami made this announcement on Monday, September 16, during the swearing-in of the board of the NCC.
He revealed that the NCC has been able to reduce the number of unregistered SIMs from 9.2million to 2.4million since he last gave the directive on the SIM card registration. [Read more](

The trial of former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, will now resume on Oct. 21 before a Federal High Court in Lagos.

Court remands butcher for allegedly raping 25-year-old woman
An Upper Area Court in Mpape, on Monday, ordered that a 34-year-old butcher, Abu Mohammed, who allegedly raped a 25-year-old woman, be remanded in a correctional facility in Keffi, Nasarawa State.
The judge, Hassan Mohammed, who made the order, adjourned the case until Sept. 20, for hearing.
