The much awaited verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) is finally out. Some people have had their hopes dashed, while some are still celebrating their victory at the court. However, for how long will this continue?
The concept of election as a core pillar of the principle of representative democracy is that the sovereignty shall be surrendered by the masses to a certain class. The concept is a product of philosophy not law. Nevertheless, the court is fast becoming the poll.
