The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Saâad Abubakar III, has claimed that some pastors and Imams are responsible for inciting violence by politicizing religion in Nigeria. Further, he condemned the clerics, noting that they are not concerned about the plight of the common man.
Abubakar made the condemnation at an inter-faith session held with Christians and Muslims in Akure, Ondo State on Sunday.
The session was a prelude to the public lecture marking the Akure Ulefunta festival. The Sultan is expected to deliver the public lecture on Monday. [Read more](
