The celebrated Italian designer, and disciple of the Art Nouveau movement, completed this elaborate cabinet in 1900. Typical of pieces in his repertoire, it’s crafted with natural elements such as bone, walnut and parchment — and features intricate Moorish-inspired detailing. When complimented two years later for his mastery of Moorish style by the queen of Italy, Helen of Savoy, the idiosyncratic artist exclaimed, "You are wrong, Majesty, this style is mine." Embraced by celebrities and artists when the French maison debuted it in 1983, the Panthère embodied the very notion of the jewelry watch. One of Cartier’s most iconic designs, the timepiece is ultra-flexible and recalls the litheness of the animal for which it is named. Reissued in 2017, after being briefly discontinued in the early aughts, it will forever conjure the glamour and decadence of the 1980s. [SHOP NOW]( [Cartier Unisex Panthère Watch, 1990s](

As both painter and illustrator, this prolific artist captured the essence of small-town life. His idealized versions of Americana graced over 300 covers of The Saturday Evening Post and made him a favorite of Madison Avenue. So, in 1970, the Franklin Mint commissioned Rockwell to create a series of advertisements, including this original piece depicting a collector fastidiously examining his coins — a nod to the collectibles offered by the mint. One of the earliest engagement rings ever found, this exceedingly rare piece of Byzantine jewelry will capture the imagination of any collector. Dating back as far as the 7th century A.D., the ring is made from yellow gold and features a square plaque-like bezel engraved with two crowned figures, perhaps bride and groom, flanking a cross. It’s a treasure in every sense, and its only known equivalent can be found on display at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum. Officially known as CH24, this iconic design is among the most recognizable in the world. In continuous production by Carl Hansen & Son since its 1950 debut, the Wishbone possesses a graceful simplicity. Each chair requires 100 steps to complete and utilizes 120 meters of paper cord for its comfortable seat, thus obviating the need for a cushion. Its distinctive Y-shape allows for the back and armrest to function as a single piece — and without multiple back slats, the chair offers an out-of-this-world sense of weightlessness. In June of 1965, NASA astronaut James McDivitt took this photo of fellow astronaut Ed White outside their craft during the Gemini IV mission. Showing White suspended in microgravity and hovering over Hawaii, the image was one of many that enthralled Americans in the early days of space exploration. White was the first American to venture outside the spacecraft for extra-vehicular activity, or a "spacewalk." This limited-edition image is numbered in red type NASA S-65-30431 with the watermark “A Kodak Paper" on the back. [SHOP Now]( [Albert Watson, Alan Shepard's Lunar Suit, 1990](
