Marigold Warner sat down with Milach in 2021 to discuss I Am Warning You, a book triptych surveying three different border walls shot at the height of geopolitical protectionism and mounting anti-migrant sentiment. “It is not my intention to analyse the historical complexities,” he said at the time. “This was an opportunity to tell a different story, about how certain architecture is involved in propaganda.” Prix Pictet has announced its 12-artist shortlist for Human, the latest in their themed award cycle.
